On Newsletter (BTW, we're are not doing newsletters right now, because we're writing.  As soon as we get this book turned in, we'll get started on sending out newsletters again):

DIY Author Promo sends out rare and occasional newsletters. I have a double opt-in/opt-out policy, which means you have to sign up, recieve an email to the email address you signed up with, click a link in the email that takes you to a special page deep in the bowels of this site, and click a box on that page that says you agree to recieve our occasional emails.  Yes, it's a lot of trouble, but it's anti-SPAM and we hate SPAM so we are doing our part to stop it.

Our newseletters are worth it! And so is your internet browsing safety!

Any information you give us is never, ever used for nefarious purposes.  It's not lent or sold.  Ever.

All the information on this site belongs to the author of the information.  The information is opinion and rarely fact.  All marketing is opinion and not fact, even those neat statistics all those surveys gather.  Use the information here or not--what you do with it is your responsibility.  Best of luck to you!

PS DIY Author Promo doesn't have a store or stock anything.  We put up links to people and places that have provided goods and/or services to us.  We are often affiliated with these folks, which means they send us special info and links to their products that an unaffiliated person wouldn't have access to and sometimes they send us a little commission if you buy using our links.  We use that commission to help with the care and feeding of this website.  So anytime you would like to use the links to make a purchase, we appreciate it!

PPS We've also added Google ads.  (We need the revenue to keep the site up, plus Google is THE resource for finding stuff.  Personally we find their links and ads very useful.)  You all know that Google keeps itself in business through ads.  Here's the official scoop on them:

  • Google, as a third party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads on your site.
  • Google's use of the DART cookie enables it to serve ads to your users based on their visit to your sites and other sites on the Internet.
  • Users may opt out of the use of the DART cookie by visiting the Google ad and content network privacy policy
